Gas installations are inextricably associated with passenger cars and only with gasoline engines. However, for a few years now, LPG/CNG technology for diesel engines has been available on the market. STAG DIESEL system, designed for trucks, is a modern solution which allows for significant savings resulting from a reduction in the percentage of diesel consumption. A truck running on LPG/LPG is equipped with a system very similar to the modification of a petrol engine. LPG/CNG is only an addition to diesel fuel – usually in the following proportion: 70-80 percent diesel fuel, 20-30 percent autogas. With the high mileage that usually accompanies the operation of fleets, savings on diesel add up to a substantial amount.
A truck running on LPG offers a number of advantages. Installing STAG DIESEL means, first of all, an increase in power and lower fuel costs.
One of the effects of investment in STAG DIESEL system is a significant increase in the range of the vehicle. With an additional LPG/CNG tank, the driver increases his or her fuel (ON and LPG/CNG) reserves and is thus able to cover a longer distance. Depending on the type of vehicle, fuel consumption, size of the diesel and LPG/CNG tanks it is possible to increase the range from 30 to over 50 – 60%.
Installing STAG DIESEL makes the combustion process more efficient. The conversion results in increased engine power and torque. The driver can regulate the intensity of gas injection into the engine by pressing the accelerator pedal. The harder the pressure, the more gas goes into the combustion chamber – the vehicle will accelerate better. In some turbocharged engines it is possible to gain up to 30 percent more power than the rated power.
LPG/CNG installation in trucks must be adapted to their size and use. This is the reason why the capacity of tanks installed with STAG DIESEL system is larger.
