STAG DIESEL installation consists of carefully designed and tested components of our own construction. It is worth noting that almost all components of STAG DIESEL systems are manufactured in Poland, in our own modern factory. Thanks to meticulous quality control, the STAG brand has become synonymous with durability, which is most important from the user’s point of view. Only a few components, i.e. knock sensor, lambda sensor, thermocouple or inverter come from renowned third-party manufacturers, e.g. BOSCH
The refueling valve is used for tight connection of the gas distributor with the car installation during refueling. A check valve installed inside prevents gas outflow during unfastening of the pistol. In case of trucks and buses, we recommend installing refueling valves on both sides of the vehicle for convenience.
The most visible element of gas-diesel installation is gas tank, which size or shape must strictly correspond to the parameters of the vehicle and space available for installation of the tank. LPG tanks used in gas installations are fully safe, which is proved by numerous tests, approvals and independent journalist crash tests.3. liquid phase gas filter and electrovalve.
The task of the liquid phase filter is first of all to clean the gas of solid impurities (most often graphite coming from the pump lubricants e.g. distributors). The solenoid valve integrated with gas filter housing is an additional protection of gas installation against any leakage or failure of solenoid valve at gas tank..
The task of the reducer is to reduce the pressure coming from the LPG tank in the liquid phase and make it go into the gaseous phase (evaporation) thanks to heating by the liquid from the engine cooling system. The same reducers can be used in petrol engine installations. Then it is said that reducer is dedicated for units with power from e.g. 150 to 250 hp. What is it about? In the case of diesel engines the important thing is the amount of gas that can be supplied to the engine. In the case of petrol engines it is usually about 10 – 25 liters of LPG, when we talk about diesel engines the demand for LPG is always lower and in practice it is about 5 – 20 liters of gas.
Its task is to clean the vaporized gas of any impurities (such as oily dirt) that may affect the correct operation of precision injectors. As in the case of any filter, one should take care of its timely replacement. Replacement of standard filters is recommended every 15 thousand km.
Its task is to measure gas temperature, pressure of supplied LPG and vacuum in the intake manifold. In case of e.g. collision and damage to the system, the sensor detects the drop in pressure and switches off the LPG system and closes the valves on the tank and before the reducer. Installed between the volatile phase filter and injectors.
They are responsible for very precise metering of gaseous fuel to the intake manifold. Their durability is estimated at 100,000 km in urban driving cycle or even 200,000 km in extra-urban cycle.
Its task is to switch on the STAG DIESEL system and display gas level in the tank. Easy to read and easy to install. Two-colour illumination of the button with the logo serves as a reserve indicator and signalling of different operation modes of the system. The logo can be rotated and its orientation adjusted to vertical or horizontal installation.
The controller uses data from the diesel injectors, gas pedal position sensor, lambda probe, exhaust gas temperature sensor and knock sensor to calculate the current demand for LPG. During the calculation the controller takes into account such information as engine temperature and temperature and pressure in the gas system. Dedicated to diesel engines from 2 to 16 cylinders, designed to work in engines with mechanical injection, pump injectors or Common Rail.
One of the engine protection elements. Installed on the exhaust manifold. It controls the temperature of exhaust gases (fumes). If the temperature of exhaust gases rises alarmingly – this sensor switches off the gas installation.
Another component that protects the engine from failure. In case of knocking combustion, it switches off the gas installation. Installed in the engine block.
Its task is to check the correct functioning of the gas system. The data from the lambda sensor show how much free oxygen there is in the exhaust gases. This measurement allows, among others, to determine the amount of gas that should be supplied to the engine in a given load range. If the lambda sensor is not installed in the vehicle, it must be fitted in order to provide the necessary data to the STAG DIESEL controller.
JIf the car is equipped with 24V electrical system, it is necessary to install 24/12V DC voltage converter. It lowers the voltage in the electrical system designed for powering and controlling the LPG system to 13.8 V. This is due to the fact that all STAG DIESEL system components (controller, injectors, solenoid valves) operate at this voltage.
